Just finished book ten of this incredibly rich series. Quadruple love every character. I was reading about the size of the goal-keepers wife in relation to the goal-keeper out loud the other night. We were in hysterics. I WANT TO GO THERE--Botswana. After ten books I am sort of in Botswana, I guess. Thinking about purchasing book #11 right now! It's a page turner. Unbelievable how our government protects the unwanted child. It's horrific. Makes you wonder what will happen to public health-care. The institutionalized living will give the best of us cause to question if we can do something for a lost child. It really jumps out at you. I enjoy Karen Cushman's style and have also read her "Midwife's Apprentice". She does not hold back when it comes to descriptions of Medieval life (sometimes it can get downright disgusting). I believe Catherine and I have tons in common. Spunky, stubborn with a soft side. Not sure I would recommend it for GMB. There are a few sexual innuendoes. Nothing explicit.
